Read the Bill!

A Republican Senator recently asked that the final legislative language of the health care reform bill be placed online for 72 hours before being voted on in committee.  He also asked that the official government cost estimates also be included online.  But his amendment making these requests was defeated!

We the people have one thing to say: Read the bill! Is it too much to ask a Senator or Representative to read a 1,000+ page bill, especially one that seeks to dramatically alter our current health care system?

We think every American should write, fax, and e-mail their Representative and/or Senator and give them this message: Read the bill! Read every bill you vote on and post the bills in their entirety online so we can read them too. Without doing so, our liberty and freedom disappears a little bit every day.
