IARC Sends Congratulatory Letter to Senator-Elect Scott Brown
Wednesday, January 20th, 2010 Blog / Commentary, News, Press Releases by IARCToday, the Indian American Republican Council sent the following letter to Senator-elect Scott Brown congratulating him on his historic election last night to the United States Senate to represent the state of Massachusetts:
Dear Senator-elect Brown,
On behalf of our Board of Directors and members nationwide, we send our congratulations and best wishes to you on your historic election last night to the United States Senate.
As you may know, a sizeable population of Indian Americans exist in your state, and we are pleased they will be so ably represented by someone of your experience and work ethic. Your election excited many Indian Americans in Massachusetts, and I am pleased to inform you that we will be starting a new statewide chapter due to the interest level from new members in your home state. They were in fact spurred to become engaged in the legislative process by your candidacy and joined the IARC as a result.
We believe you understand our position on issues affecting our community and country, such as excessive government spending; the closed-door process behind the health care reform debate; card check; and ensuring changes to our immigration system that benefit hard-working legal immigrants rather than illegal aliens.
On behalf of the Indian American Republican Council, we once again congratulate you upon your election to the United States Senate and look forward to working with you in 2010 and beyond.
With best regards,
Dino Teppara, Esquire
IARC Chairman
