Washington, D.C. – Today, the Indian American Republican Council issued the following statement after several innocent people were killed by a terrorist attack in India.
“This latest attack is yet another example of the global reach of international terrorism,” said IARC Chairman Dino Teppara. “An attack at a popular site near a Jewish Center that is frequented by tourists is meant to strike fear, damage India’s growing tourism sector and cause instability and uncertainty.”
“We cannot let that happen. The United States and India are in fact winning the war on terrorism. In Afghanistan, we are using drone attacks to take out Taliban targets tied to Pakistan. And we’re decimating terrorist cells that are aiming their attacks at both the United States and India. Instead of creating fear, these attacks will only strengthen our resolve to fight back aggressively and destroy those who seek to use violence against innocent people.”
