Thursday, February 25th, 2010 Uncategorized by IARCIACC Chairman Dino Teppara became the first Indian American leader to ever address the Conservative Political Action Conference, when he spoke out in opposition to illegal immigration during a panel at the 2010 CPAC. This annual meeting of conservatives is held every February in Washington, D.C. He spoke to a live audience of more than 4,000 people in a speech that was nationally televised on C-SPAN.
Mr. Teppara served on staff for seven years to U.S. Congressman Joe Wilson (R-SC) and is the only Indian American to ever serve as Chief of Staff and Counsel to a Member of Congress. He will receive an Officer Commission later this year, making him the only Indian American Public Affairs Officer in the United States Navy.
